About
Hi, I’m Jessie. You might also know me as Icy. I’m a software & DevOps engineer.
My interest in development began at nine, when I started experimenting with batch scripts and automation. I spent hours building in KoGaMa’s game editor before moving on to creating Minecraft servers. Over time, I found myself spending more time developing servers than playing the game.
My current work focuses primarily on B2B systems that communicate with custom IoT and embedded security devices. Alongside my work, I explore different areas of IT as I work out where I want to focus. I recently returned to game development after several years away and am experimenting with writing my own game engine in JavaScript.
Outside work, I enjoy space games such as Star Citizen and No Man’s Sky, and pursue amateur astronomy.
